A new independent support coordination agency has launched in Australia, helping people with disability and mental illness to get the most out of their NDIS plan. Allinto officially opened its doors on 3 July 2023.
Allinto Chief Executive Officer Karen Hale-Robertson said that with more than 800 clients, Allinto was one of the largest, independent support coordination agencies in Queensland.
“More people than ever before are being funded for support coordination but there is a real gap in the market for the service and particularly for support coordination that is independent of service providers,” Karen said.
“We are ‘all into’ supporting people through life’s transitions with information, expertise and guidance to live their best life and our tagline sums it up nicely – go far together.”
Allinto helps people to understand the intricacies of their NDIS plan and the support they are being funded for and assists them to select the best supports based on their individual needs and goals.
Allinto offices are located in North and South Brisbane, Rockhampton, and Melbourne, but services are available Australia-wide.
“We firmly believe in the importance of providing this critical service to people everywhere, including those who are rural and remote. Our team operate effectively over the phone or video chat and can make arrangements to visit if required.”
Allinto has plans to expand into other service areas to support the community more broadly with other important services such as case management and psychosocial recovery coaching.
“We’re excited to announce our plans that we won’t be only a NDIS support coordination agency.” said Karen.
“Later this year we will be extending our service offering to recovery coaching which will support people with mental illness and psychosocial disabilities to live a full life on their recovery journey, and we are also aiming to help more vulnerable Australians by expanding our existing case management services to assist those who aren’t funded under the NDIS to remain or transition into the community.,” Karen said.
Allinto’s team of more than 40 support coordinators have many years of experience offering support coordination that has significantly improved people’s quality of life.
Nick became a support coordinator more than 18 months ago after four years in aged care and loves helping people to do more and get more out of life.
“I like seeing people’s lives turned around, whether they get into a place they want to live, they get a job, they start doing more for themselves, they start walking better—actually seeing the NDIS work and making a massive change to people’s lives—that’s what I like seeing,” said Nick.
In addition to NDIS funded support coordination, the Allinto team of experts work with various funders to coordinate disability supports for older Australians, case management for Child Safety clients and coordination of supports for those recently discharged from long stays in hospital.
